Private Gallery was established in 1995 when Denise Knox moved to Fairhope, Alabama from Dallas, Texas.

As a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines the commute was too difficult to continue. Since she had been in the fashion industry doing shows and seasonal events, she decided to open a boutique. Private Gallery was such a hit that developers and malls were pursuing her to open stores all over the country.  Continuing the plan to be nationwide, she opened 18 stores across the south.

The focus of her Christian based business has always been serving others.  This is Denise’s mission field.

In 2012 her twin grandchildren, Madeleine and Slone were born at one pound each.  She took a step back from the business to help with the babies and their 3 year old brother Knox.  Through a long 2 years of touch and go and many surgeries, they continued to survive and began to thrive.  Madeleine was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and they were told she would never walk.  There were multiple therapy sessions daily for her and this was vital because they refused to believe the doctors report.  Denise knew at that moment her place was with her family and life as she knew it would be different.

She began to close stores but did keep the flagship location in Fairhope.  It was heart wrenching, but she said she would do it again tomorrow because family always comes first!  Now 5 years later she still helps with the kids. They are in 3 different schools and all doing well.  She helps with taking them to and from school and continues to help with Madeleine’s physical therapies, who is closer and closer to walking!

Denise recently remodeled her Fairhope store and is now relaunching the website.  The Lord was faithful through it all and He had a plan.  She gives all the glory to God and especially for her precious grandchildren, having a purpose and bringing so much joy to everyone!

We are all so excited now to have the website to shop again!  Denise said “This has been God’s business from day one.  I know we can serve others through the website now.”  She is still passionate about fashion and finding the best of the best for her customers, and most of all, being able to connect with all of the loyal PG girls all across the country again!  Blessings to all!
